I’m Julia married mum to three boys, one girl and two naughty beagles! I moved to Surrey in 2012 when I met my husband, having originally grown up in Reading. Five years ago, after a period of significant illness, I started really getting into fitness classes with pressures of work expecting me to pass a fitness test. A couple of years later, after a few more life changing events, I trained as a fitness instructor and later a personal trainer as I really wanted to support other people on their fitness journeys.
I am trained in many areas from aerobic workouts to strength training, aqua workouts to spinning! I am also qualified as a sports massage therapist and I am currently studying for my hot stone massage and pre and postnatal fitness qualification.
.In 2011 I took the step from group fitness attendee to instructor, with Zumba. I loved it and quickly trained up in Kids Zumba, Zumba Pro and Fitsteps. In 2014, 'the hobby' became the career, I attained my ‘Group Exercise to Music’ and discovered The Jungle Body.
I am proud to be a UK Master Trainer for The Jungle Body, qualified in all five of their programs, and to represent the brand, teaching classes at various fitness events around the country. I am also qualified in Tomboogie (showtime based fitness class) and VeraFlow (dance, stretch and relaxation). As well as specialist in Ante & Post Natal Fitness. My belief is that fitness should be fun, there is no better feeling seeing people leave class, glistening, smiling and achieving their goals.
I am a Body Control Pilates qualified teacher who offers small group classes for women during pregnancy and the postnatal period. I first came to Pilates some years ago and was instantly hooked on it’s ability to make you feel stronger, more mobile and more in control of your body. However, it was not until a back injury several years ago that I really discovered it’s power to heal the body and focus the mind through gentle movement. It helped me to recover and manage my injury, including through my pregnancy with my daughter several years ago.
After having my daughter, I decided to train to become a Level Three Qualified teacher with a specialism in designing Pilates programmes for pregnancy and the post-natal period.
I started attending Zumba classes to assist with weight loss and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Before I knew it I was attending four classes a week and was hooked. My instructor recommended I that I qualify and start my own sessions, so I jumped right in! Teaching Zumba has become my biggest passion, which I really want to share with others.
I’m a personable and motivated individual dedicated to total fitness and well being. I always look to develop new moves and introduce them in my classes to keep the routines fresh and up to date.
I began practicing yoga about four years ago after suffering for years with back, neck and shoulder pain and I found that any other forms of exercises trigger the pain. Since starting, I can manage the pain more effectively as well as having a quieter, more peaceful mind. I have practiced Bikram, Yin, Restorative and Vinyasa flow. In October 2017 I decided to complete my 200 hour Frog Lotus International Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training.
I really enjoy the strength & flexibility aspect of Vinyasa Flow as well as using the breath to flow between asanas (postures) helping to focus the mind. I read a poem during Savasana and apply carefully blended essential oils to aid relaxation, uplift and help ground the individual before leaving the practice. I am a certified Aromatherapist so I have the knowledge of blending essential oils. I am fully insured and look forward to sharing my experience of yoga with you.
I have been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. I began my teaching career as a Les Mills instructor and I've not looked back since. Over the years I’ve qualified in more and more types of fitness classes including HIIT, which I will be teaching at Well & Good. I also recently completed my 200 hour yoga qualification with Christine Felix at Akram yoga. I can honestly not single out which one of my classes that I love to teach the most as I love every single one I do and wouldn’t change it for the world.
I am a mum of two girls both of whom are in school, so teaching gives me the flexibility I need to spend quality time with my girls.

I have always had a passion for health, fitness and wellbeing and have been working in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years.
As a qualified nutritional therapist and fitness professional, I have worked in a variety of leisure facilities, health clubs, studios and corporate institutions; including a role in a Formula 1 team as a Human Performance Manager where I worked with the team to ensure they maintained optimum human performance throughout the racing season.
My current roles include studio management, teaching a wide range of group exercise classes, personal training, nutrition lectures/seminars and 1:2:1 nutrition and lifestyle consultations.
I fell in love with yoga when I was working in London and found that yoga offered a golden hour of space, sanity and movement in an otherwise hectic (and very firmly desk-based) day.
Prior to moving back home to Godalming in 2018, I completed my yoga teacher training in Bali with a focus on hatha and vinyasa flow.
My classes use playful and creative sequencing to encourage fluidity and openness through the body, whilst also focusing on the breath and alignment to create a meditative, mindful practice.
I strongly believes that yoga is for everybody and offer plenty of modifications throughout my classes to ensure that they are truly accessible for all levels.
My name’s Ruby and I’m ‘That Pilates Girl’ from Northern Ireland. I’m an ex-dancer and have been practicing pilates for over 10 years now.
I trained with Body Control Pilates in 2016 and have recently started teaching pilates three times a week at Well & Good studios.
My classes are open to all levels and are small groups, so I can give careful attention to the individual clients’ needs in each class.
I am also an experienced childcare professional, so you will occasionally find me managing the creche, too!
Ruby also helps Anna and Charlie by supervising the studio on Mondays.
I completed my 200 hours yoga teacher training qualification in Hatha yoga, with a keen interest in pregnancy, post natal and children’s yoga.
My classes have a strong anatomical focus and aim to bring my passion for a healthy mind through focusing on the breath.
My classes are lighthearted, fun, with appropriate challenges and suitable for all levels.
Being a trained primary school teacher, I am passionate about yoga and mindfulness for children. Having recently become a mum myself, I recognise the benefits of yoga for the different stages throughout our lives.
With a dance background, as a yoga teacher I try to incorporate a blend of traditional yoga practice with modern movement and fluid sequences, focusing on the connection of each moment with each breath.
I love my students to find freedom during their class and to feel liberated after.
My classes are open to all levels, with appropriate challenges here and there!
